minimum staffing overtime in 2010
- Four unnecessary layoffs
- Three cops were Iraqi War Veterans
- Several cops have retired.

- Lowest manpower since 1972..
- Services Eliminated..
- Crime up
- 21 Years of DARE cancelled
As you know, the Mayor & Council were warned repeatedly by Fair Lawn PBA Local 67 Members about their poor decision to lay off four police officers and failure to replace other officers that have either transferred or retired. They dismissed our pleas to maintain manpower and have once again mismanaged taxpayer dollars. All community policing services have been dramatically
reduced or eliminated.
Four officers currently on disability due to work related injuries. One officer with a painful injury who was run over by criminals fleeing from police in a vehicle.
A police roster of 54 officers.
The lowest police roster since 1972!
Fair Lawn has grown into one of the largest communities in Bergen County. New businesses, new developments, one of the largest community centers in the county, more roads, two state highways that are heavily travelled, many more residents and an ever increasing transient population!
Less officers! No services!
PBA LOCAL 67 HAS TRIED REPEATEDLY TO BRING AWARENESS TO THESE TROUBLING ISSUES THROUGH BOTH MEDIA AND OTHER COMMUNITY INTERACTION.
WE HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO BRING ATTENTION TO THE ACTIONS THAT HAVE REDUCED AND/OR ELIMINATED SERVICES
FOR THE COMMUNITY
WE ARE HONORED TO SERVE!
